HGV Technician - ChargeHand

Location - Exeter

Salary - For Days Shifts - £32,240 - £35,987 pa

Experienced and reliable HGV Technician Chargehand / HGV Fitter / HGV Mechanic / Workshop Foreman / HGV Technician required for a thriving workshop in Exeter

You will need to be fully experienced in the field as you will be working on complete repairs, as well as helping your team if needed.

Working as a HGV Technician Chargehand / HGV Fitter / HGV Mechanic / Workshop Foreman / HGV Technician, this role will involve:

·Maintenance and repair of vehicles, trailers and ancillary equipment.
·Fault-finding on vehicles, trailers and equipment and replacing parts where necessary.
·MOT preparation and completion of associated paperwork.


The suitable HGV Technician Chargehand / HGV Fitter / HGV Mechanic / Workshop Foreman / HGV Technician will have the following skills and experience:

·NVQ Level 3 Qualifications or equivalent.
·Experience working on commercial vehicles as a HGV technician.
·A can-do attitude and willingness to learn new vehicles and equipment is essential.
·Flexible approach to work and a full understanding of customer satisfaction.
·A genuine interest in ensuring you and your service team perform at the best of their ability.
·Full clean UK Driving Licence.
·Class C + E an advantage
·Technical knowledge
·Attention to detail 
·Ability to multitask
·Problem solving
·Organisational and administration skills
·Excellent interpersonal skills
·Ability to build rapport with all internal staff and customers
·Able to supervise and manage staff
 
Required experience for the Workshop Foreman:
 
·Technical apprenticeship
·Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role
·1 – 2 years previous people management experience in a similar environment 
·In-depth knowledge of the truck industry
·Class 1 or 2
