My client, a large nationwide fleet hire company, are looking for a Fleet Operator to join their busy site in Uxbridge.
The Fleet Operator:
You will have the following skills, experiences and attributes...
·Previous experience working in a fleet / hire / commercial environment
·Experience of vehicles, fleet knowledge and customer service.
·Good geographical knowledge
·Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
·Experience of managing own workload within a pressurised environment
·Excellent communication skills
·Strong computer literacy

The Role of Fleet Operator
The Fleet Operator will be responsible for the daily planning of resources, including effectively managing vehicle utilisation and ensuring vehicles are within legal requirements and the fleet is managed in the best way possible. Duties will include...
·Ensuring all elements of the job are effectively communicated to managers, and technicians
·To plan the effective utilisation of vehicles, sub-contractors and agencies.
·Ensure regulations are followed
·Liaising with teams to optimise fleet/driver utilisation, identifying and resolving problems affecting delivery on time.
·Effectively manage the balance between own fleet and sub-contract requirements, identifying any areas for improvement.
·Conduct investigations into accidents or issues of driver performance/conduct and raising with the appropriate personnel.
·Working alongside fleet to ensure timely return of vehicles
·Working with Compliance to ensure trucks are legal and information is downloaded in a timely manner.
·Ensure costs are managing in accordance with KPI’s.

This is a great role for a Fleet Operator with excellent coordinating, and strong organisational skills plus a good background in administration and understanding of a workshop and fleets.
