My client is an industry leading commercial vehicle supplier that provides both self-drive rental and sales of LGV and HGV's. Short term and contract truck rental is their core business, with a significant portion of our fleet being Heavy Goods Vehicles.

Due to recent changes there now lies an exciting opportunity for an experienced Commercial Vehicle Depot Manager to join our dynamic team; you will be solely responsible for Depot and have full autonomy of the management of the depot and its staff.
They are looking for a Depot Manager with a passion for the rental industry and who has good knowledge of both vehicle rental and more importantly vehicle maintenance and compliance.
You will be responsible for 14 staff but this number is expected to grow steadily and you will report directly into the board of directors.
Ideally you will already have a good knowledge of the markets we operate in.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Depot Manager:
·Oversee the day to day management of the Sherburn site including the hire desk and a busy commercial vehicle workshop
·Ensure the site operates safely at all times
·Ensure that the site and its staff work effectively and efficiently
·Deliver our outstanding levels of customer service by maintaining our policies and procedures
·Contribute to the overall profitability of the company
·Manage all aspects of HR within the depot including resource levels, holiday planning, absence and any disciplinary matters that arise
·Manage the costs of operating the depot
·Maximise the revenue of the depot and to contribute where possible through managing existing and new rental customers
