Our client is currently looking for an Coach builder / Body builder to join their busy Commercial Vehicle Body shop in Bristol

my client has everything required to repair any commercial vehicle and needs a well experienced body builder to join the team
The body builder will be building new bodies in their new build sector in line with the manufacturer’s specifications, utilising modern equipment and techniques. You will also need to know and be aware of the products whilst following the correct repair techniques.

My clients Work alongside major vehicle manufacturers, they are approved repairers for Mercedes-Benz, DAF Imperial Commercials, Scania Assist etc

Duties of the Commercial Vehicle Body builder:
·Carrying out HGV trailer, body and chassis repairs
·Working with metals, steel and ally
·Repairing GRP panels and light weight panels
·Fabrication, cutting, grinding and fitting of various components
·Carrying out MIG and ARC welding on vehicles and trailers
·Preparation of various vehicles and trailers for refurbishment
·Using various power tools and occasionally working from ladders
·Complying with the relevant Health and Safety requirements including the correct use of PPE

Essential Skills & Qualifications for Coach builder / Body builder role:
·Ability to build and repair the body of a commercial vehicle trailers etc
·Fabricating
·Welding
·Use of cutting and bending machinery
·Using various air tools (grinders, drills, etc.)
·Be able to competently use small hand tools.
·Team player
