Hours Mon to 06:00 - 16:00 , Saturdays 8am to 12pm

My client is a large independent commercial vehicle maintenance provider in the North West for all makes and types of commercial vehicles and LCVs.

They have a reputation for quality and a 97% first time MOT pass-rate (above national average)

They are now looking to recruit an experienced Workshop Foreman to join their Hyde depot.

The Workshop Foreman Role:

·Planning the daily workload of the workshop, office & drivers to ensure customer requirements are met
·Possessing the skills to be organised and the ability to engage and motivate people and manage the day to day tasks
·Maintain progress information of each job allocated & liaise with Technicians and the Service Controller to ensure customers are kept informed
·Ensuring that parts are available for the work at the correct time, keeping ahead of outstanding work & parts on order
·Ensure all applicable paperwork is passed onto the Service Department
·Deliver a high standard of customer service at all times
·Motivating your team whilst having the drive to help motivate others to exceed targets and deadlines
·In addition to managing the workshop, this candidate must also be able to work productively to assist in exceeding targets and deadlines

Workshop Foreman qualifications:

·Must be able to demonstrate leadership and identify problems within the workshop and understand how to fix them
·Must have experience/qualifications as an HGV technician
·Understanding of health and safety - always adhering to company standards
·Must have a “can do” attitude with the ability to prioritise / organise work to ensure the workshop runs smoothly
·Strong communication is essential - you must be able to give quick solutions to any issues
·Must be driven and task orientated
