WORKSHOP FOREMAN / TECHNICIAN (Automotive) (On The Job)

Basic Salary £35,000pa + Excellent OTE
Location: OXFORD


My client is seeking a highly organised WORKSHOP FOREMAN / TECHNICIAN to run a friendly
workshop
Must be a qualified LEVEL 3 Technician with MOT Licence
·Key tasks and responsibilities include:
·Working with a number of Technicians
·Organising and managing workload and job cards
·Determine availability of workshop hours daily & communicate regularly
·You will possess the skills to be organised and the ability to engage and motivate people and manage the day to day tasks
·Maintain progress information of each job allocated & liaise with Technicians to ensure customers are kept informed
·Monitor all workshop orders through the parts department, keeping ahead of outstanding work & parts on order
·Managing bookings, dealing with customers, creating invoices, handling customer payments
·Managing Technicians work allocation and liaising with the body shop and insurance companies.
·Ensure all applicable paperwork is passed onto, and administered by, the appropriate department
·Pass on all documentation for completed work to Tester & organise any extra work if necessary
·Deliver a high standard of customer service at all times whilst also motivating your team.
·Servicing and resolving the most challenging and time-sensitive problems
·Diagnosing and identifying faults, making improvements, keeping accurate records and meet demanding quality and safety standards.
·Tyre fitting and wheel alignments
·Dealing with recalls and warranties
·Maintain a good level of efficiency without compromising quality
·Ensuring complete customer satisfaction
·Accurately and skilfully undertake the repair and servicing of motor vehicles.
·Detect and diagnose and additional faults for further repair
·Ensure all work is completed safely and complies with professional standards
·Fulfil all tasks to the customers’ complete satisfaction
·Always work to your best ability to promote and maintain a very high standard of customer care
·Excellent customer service skills
·Take responsibility for the quality and quantity of their work
·Experience and competency in the accurate use of IT equipment
·Self-motivation and enthusiasm

·Candidate Specification:
·Main Dealer or Large independent garage experience is desirable
·Technician within the automotive industry is welcomed
·Experience of managing Vehicle Technicians
·Must be able to implement new ideas and increase performance enhancement
·Computer literate
·An amazing attitude and flexible in approach
·Good communicator
·Balanced approach
·Ability to work within a team frame work
·Ability meeting deadlines
·Good man management skills
·Focus on high standards and quality
