VEHICLE TECHNICIAN (Level 3)
BASICSALARY £21,800+DOE
Plus Achievable OTE/BONUS
Location: NEWCASTLE

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced LEVEL 3 - VEHICLE TECHNICIAN preferably with MOT LICENSE who is looking for an opportunity to develop their career within the Motor Industry!

LEVEL 3 - VEHICLE SERVICE TECHNICIAN DUTIES

  • Servicing and resolving the most challenging and time-sensitive problems
  • Diagnosing and identifying faults, making improvements, keeping accurate records and meet demanding quality and safety standards.
  • Fixing clutches, engine rebuilds and gear boxes
  • Inspecting vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately
  • Conducting routine maintenance work aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity
  • Schedule future maintenance sessions and advise motorists on good vehicle use
  • Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job
  • Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
  • Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles
  • Testing vehicles; completing preventive maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, replacing filters
    • Complies with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
    • Dealing with recalls and warranties
    • Maintain a good level of efficiency without compromising quality
    • Ensuring complete customer satisfaction
    • Accurately and skilfully undertake the repair and servicing of motor vehicles.
    • Ensure all work is completed safely and complies with professional standards
    • Fulfil all tasks to the customers’ complete satisfaction
    • Always work to your best ability to promote and maintain a very high standard of customer care
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Take responsibility for the quality and quantity of their work
    • Keep logs on work and issues
    • Maintain equipment and tools in good condition
    • Self-motivation and enthusiasm

VEHICLE SERVICE TECHNICIAN - ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • MOT License would be an advantage
  • Relevant, Automotive City and Guilds or NVQ Level 3 Qualification
  • Large Independent Garage or Dealership experience
  • A full Driving Licence
  • Your own set of Tools
