USED PREP CONTROLLER
Used Prep Controller required for our Automotive client based in Knutsford

Basic Salary & OTE up to £30,000

Our client is seeking a Used Car Prep Controller who understands the demands of Used Cars Prep Centre and the ability to meet the high standards that this position brings. You will possess the skills to be organised and the ability to engage and motivate Vehicle Technicians.

You will liaise daily with the Used Sales Department and be on hand to answer any queries from other departments. The role will involve ensuring all incoming work is planned as well as managing the time and resource of your team. Used Car Prep Controller assigns technicians tasks to ensuring productivity is maximised and that deadlines are adhered to. You are responsible for performance management, coaching and development of the team. Quality checking, PDI’s Completed, Servicing and MOT’s done before releasing the car, accessories added, audits and compliance with all health and safety regulations.

The Used Car Prep Controller must have strong technical knowledge, be computer literate and be able to work efficiently under pressure ensuring customers cars are completed within agreed time scales. The right candidate for this role will be a motivational team player as well as leader, a time conscious individual and an over achiever.

Working Hours Monday - Friday 08:00am – 6:00pm. NO SATURDAYS

Skills & Qualifications of a Used Car Prep Controller

·Must have evidential proof that you are able to run a productive PDI centre
·Experience of managing a team of Vehicle Technicians or Mechanics
·Must be able to demonstrate leadership and identify problems within the workshop and understand how to fix them
·Must have a CAN-DO attitude with the ability to prioritise / organise work to ensure the workshop runs smoothly
·Strong communication is ESSENTIAL - you are the central person who service, parts and technicians will report too and therefore must be able to give quick solutions to any issues
