My client is one of the leading specialists in heavy freight and provides a general haulage service.
They are looking for a Trailer Technician / HGV Technician / Technician to join their site in Stockport.

Responsibilities of a Trailer Technician / HGV Technician / Technician

·To inspect, service and repair trailers to a high maintenance standard ensuring conformity to all current company EHS guidelines, policies, procedures and mandatory EHS legislation.
·To ensure all compliance details are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
·To ensure all company vehicles are always driven and operated in accordance with road traffic law and company policy.
·To undertake all required training as deemed necessary by the company.
·To always provide a high customer service
·Highlight all potential business commercial opportunities to line manager.
·To maintain all the trailers in a timely and accurate manor

Qualifications / Requirements for this Trailer Technician / HGV Technician / Technician role:

·Must be a “Time Served” technician or possess City & Guilds 1,2 & 3 Certificates or equivalent qualifications.
·Must have a technical background /experience in trailer repairs and welding.
·High level of enthusiasm & good communication skills and the ability to work independently.
·Basic knowledge of computers and ability to complete relevant written documentation.
·Have a customer and team centric mindset and high level of professionalism.
·Good organizational skills and ability to be able to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
·IRTEC licence, Wabco, Haldex, Knorr Bremnse, training is advantageous.
·A Class 1 Licence is essential
·Knowledge of low loader trailers is essential
