Monday - Friday 08:00 - 18:00
1 in 2 Saturdays 08:00 - 12:00

My client is a commercial vehicle rental supplier and due to growth, they are looking for a Service Controller to join them.

The Service Controller role involves:

·Planning the daily workload of the office & drivers to ensure customer requirements are met.
·Liaising with customers regarding service schedules, updates, authorities and completion of work.
·Raising of job cards, estimates & invoices as required and update status of jobs on the system in an accurate and timely fashion.
·Liaising with the Workshop Controller to ensure that times booked to jobs are monitored and parts are ordered and available for the job at the correct time.
·Processing purchase orders accurately.
·Maintaining discipline in the whole site.
·Ensuring that the site is tidy, housekeeping standards are maintained and site is secure.
·Ensuring that all equipment is maintained in a proper fashion.
·Ensuring all Health & Safety arrangements are in place. Promoting Health and Safety within the depot.
·Attending management meetings.
·Reporting on the KPI’s for the depot. Undertake any reasonable duty specified by the Operations Manager & Company Directors.


Essential for this The Service Controller role involves::

·Previous service advisor experience advantageous
·Must be able to demonstrate leadership and identify problems within the workshop and understand how to fix them
·Understanding of health and safety - always adhering to company standards
·Must have a “can do” attitude with the ability to prioritise / organise work to ensure the workshop runs smoothly
·Strong communication is essential - you must be able to give quick solutions to any issues
· Must be driven and task orientated
