Plant Fitter

Location: Slough

Salary: £35000.00 pa up to £40000.00 pa + Overtime

Working hours:
Monday to Friday - Basic Day hours


Motivated and Enthusiastic Plant Technician / Plant Fitter / Agricultural Fitter / Heavy Diesel Mechanic required for a successful workshop in Slough.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Plant Technician / Plant Fitter / Agricultural Fitter / Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join a thriving workshop and be part of a forward-thinking company that looks after their employees.

The Plant Technician / Plant Fitter / Agricultural Fitter / Heavy Diesel Mechanic role involves:

1.Carry out specified works to a range of high pressure jetting and vacuum vehicles in a safe and timely manner
2.Diagnose and apply the relevant mechanical & electrical repairs
3.Repair and replace damaged or worn parts
4.Testing the vehicles to check the repairs work
5.Deal with unscheduled repairs and checks as they arise
6.Fitting and servicing accessories like radios and alarms
7.Service the vehicles and maintain service records sheets
8.Ensure workshop equipment is used within safety guidelines and all equipment is cleaned and returned to base after use.
9.To undertake any other relevant duties that is within the scope of the role as requested by the Workshop Foreman

Health and Safety for the Plant Technician / Plant Fitter / Agricultural Fitter / Heavy Diesel Mechanic :
Ensure all Company rules pertaining to Health and Safety are adhered to, including
COSHH, LOLER and PUWER Regulations.
At all times be responsible for the safety of yourself, other employees and visitors to the work place.
This role will require you to work from heights.

Key Skill/ Experience Plant Technician / Plant Fitter / Agricultural Fitter / Heavy Diesel Mechanic :

·Diagnostic skills with experience of working with plant machinery in a busy mechanical environment
·Servicing mechanical and electrical repairs
·Excellent communication skills
·Takes pride in their work and wants to complete each task to a high standard
·Works in a safe and professional manner
·Ability to work well in a team
·Good time keeping
·Proactive and enthusiastic attitude
·Good knowledge of health and safety
·Full clean driving licence for commercial vehicles (Category C licence would be an advantage but not essential.)
The successful applicant will have a can do, proactive and enthusiastic attitude.



Required for this Plant Technician / Plant Fitter / Agricultural Fitter / Heavy Diesel Mechanic role :
·Level 3 / City & Guilds or NVQ qualified technician
·HGV licence is an advantage
·Diagnostic experience
