Monday - Friday (+ 1 in 2 Saturday mornings)

Monday – Friday 08:00 – 18:00



My client is a leading independently owned and operated commercial vehicle parts supplier

Main duties and responsibilities of the Truck & Trailer Parts Manager

·Maintaining existing trade parts accounts and developing new business channels through regular liaison with new and existing customers.
·Developing budgets to achieve sales and financial targets and control costs to ensure adequate resourcing of the parts department within budgetary limits.
·To maintain parts stockholding at agreed levels to maximise first time availability of parts to all customers.
·Organising and administering stock check procedures on a regular basis ensuring these are monitored to minimise obsolete stock.
·Identification and disposal of slow-moving stock via targeted campaigns / stock cleansing / stock exchange or return.
·You must be fully conversant with the procedures of the parts department.
·To achieve the set purchase targets on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
·To ensure that all invoices are processed promptly & assist accounts department with month end procedures / supplier queries.
·To ensure all customers are dealt with promptly and courteously. As well as administer and resolve all customer parts enquiries and complaints in a competent manner.
·To ensure that the parts departments work area is kept to a high standard of cleanliness.
·To ensure that the company health & safety policy is adhered to at all times.
·To ensure that parts staff & drivers are fully utilised at all times.
·To ensure that the procedures for handling cash, cheques and accounts are fully adhered to.

Experience required for the Truck & Trailer Parts Manager

·Previous experience of a commercial vehicle parts operation and of stock control procedures
·Excellent IT and communication skills are essential.
·Truck factors management experience / Main dealer parts management experience
·Experience with Scania, Volvo, Mercedes, Iveco, MAN & Trailer spare parts is desirable
·Clean, full UK driving licence
·Knowledge of SAGE is desirable
