Panel beater required for a bodyshop in Sheffield

Salary: £20,000 - £26,500
Hours: 39 per week
Monday to Friday - 08:30 - 17:20

Our client is looking for a talented and efficient panel beater to join this leading team.

·Are you an experienced panel beater looking for a new challenge?
·Can you carry out repair tasks such as operation of body alignment jigs, body panel straightening and filling?

You will be repairing damaged vehicles in line with the manufacturers specifications, utilising modern equipment and techniques. You will be expected to carry out warranty, transit damage and used car repairs using factory approved products and techniques You will also need to know and be aware of the products whilst following the correct repair techniques.

You will produce high quality, first time fix repairs to times and standards as dictated by BS 10125, insurance company guidelines, manufacturer standards and company policy.

Essential Skills & Qualifications for Panel Beater role:

·You will have served a recognised apprenticeship as a Panel Beater and gained a technical qualification (such as NVQ / VCQ / SVQ / ATA).
·You must have previous experience working as a Panel Beater within a busy body shop and be a strong team player with a self-motivation to earn bonus hours.
·You will work to the highest standard and demonstrate a sound up-to-date knowledge of vehicle repair techniques.
·Familiarity with health and safety and COSHH requirements
·Good communication skills
·Good organisational skills
·Good working relationships
·Ability to carry out repair tasks such as: operation of body alignment jigs; body panel straightening and filling; replacement of panels; welding and bonding of vehicle structure; strip and rebuild of trim; removing and replacing bolt on panels; removing and replacing complete body shell
