My client has been established for over 30 years and is looking for a mobile trailer technician to join them.

The successful Mobile HGV Technician MUST hold an industry recognised qualification and have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.

ROLE

•Always ensure that your van and the equipment within it are safe to use and fit for purpose. Report any problems immediately to your manager.
•Restock your van as necessary.
•Cover breakdowns and on-site servicing as required.
•When there are no breakdowns or off-site services to be done, it is expected that you work alongside the men in the workshop on vehicles brought into the workshop.
•Drive safely and sensibly with regard to speed limits, weather conditions and fuel economy.
•Follow company procedures particularly as outlined in the Mobile Servicing and Repair Unit booklet and Lone Worker Policy.
•Always report to reception when working from the van when arriving on-site and abide by the conditions, safe systems of work and Health and Safety arrangements of each company visited.
•Work efficiently, promptly and responsibly.
•Complete all job sheets on return to the depot on the same day or if necessary the next morning.
•Liaise with the Depot Manager at all stages of the job.
•When not working from the van, work in the workshop alongside workshop staff.
•This is a non-exhaustive list of duties and you will be required to do anything reasonable that is asked of you.
