MOBILE HGV TECHNICIAN

Location of the Mobile HGV Technician : Hampshire

£35,000 - 52,000pa

Pay £16.00 - £17.50 per hour depending on skills and experience.
Overtime at time and a half paid after 8.5 hours a day or weekend work.
22 days paid holiday - plus bank holidays.(30 days total)

Contracted hours are 42.5 hrs per week. Typically 45 to 50+ hours per week are available (with some flexibility required on working hours)
No requirement to work on Saturdays

This is an opportunity for a Mobile HGV technician to really make it their own position in helping to support the company in driving the business forward through supporting the workshop and the service team.
My client needs someone who is driven, with a strong work ethic and has proven experience. In return you will work for a company that looks after its staff, have a fulfilling career with ongoing training and development.

The Mobile HGV Technician involves:
·Repairing company vehicles (HGV &LCV) and trailers in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current legislation.
·Routine vehicle maintenance to VOSA standards.
·Twelve weekly inspections.
·Preparation for MOT.
·Diagnosis of vehicles using computer based diagnostic equipment.
·Carry out re-chassis work and light fabrication work.
·Good housekeeping routines to meet H&S requirements.
·Ensure all paperwork is completed to a high standard.
·Utilise all Personal Protective Equipment as necessary.
·To communicate effectively with the Workshop Manager.
·overnight availability to cover our breakdown rota.

Required for this Mobile HGV Technician role:
·Level 3 essential (NVQ or IMI or City and Guilds)
·At least 10 years of HGV experience
·Driving License Class 1 and 2 is desirable
·Trailer experience
·Diagnostic experience
·Knowledge of DVSA legislation
·A good working knowledge of the HGV MOT standards
·Must have own tools
