HGV Technician

Location: Rochester
Salary: £35,000pa up to £40,000pa + OTE
Working hours:
4 on 4 off day shifts 6:00am - 18:00pm

Motivated and Enthusiastic HGV Technician / HGV Fitter / HGV Mechanic required for a thriving Fleet Commercial Vehicle company in Rochester.

You must be a fully qualified HGV Technician level 3 with either city & guilds or NVQ qualification and own tools.
The role of diesel mechanic is to work within the workshop dealing with repair and service of commercial vehicles in a timely manner and within ministry standards, it's a busy workshop so plenty of opportunity and this company actively encourages ongoing brand training and is constantly improving working environments and has a state of the art workshop.

The HGV Technician / HGV Fitter / HGV Mechanic role involves:
·Repairing company vehicles in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current legislation.
·Routine vehicle maintenance to VOSA standards.
·Preparation and presentation of vehicles and trailers for annual MOT inspection.
·Diagnosis of vehicles using computer based diagnostic equipment.
·Carry out re-chassis work and light fabrication work.
·Good housekeeping routines to meet H&S requirements.
·Ensure all paperwork is completed to a high standard.
·Utilise all Personal Protective Equipment as necessary.
·To communicate effectively with the Workshop Manager

Required for this HGV Technician / HGV Fitter / HGV Mechanic role:
·Level 3 NVQ qualification or City & Guilds
·Own tools
·Class 1 or 2 licence
·Trailer experience
·Diagnostic experience
