HGV Technician

Location: Chilcompton
Salary: £28,000pa up to £33,000 (£12.50 - £13.50 per hour + £10 shift allowance)
Working hours: 40 hours per week

Monday to Friday
06:00AM – 14:00PM
14:00PM - 22:00PM

Every other Saturday
07:00AM - 13:00PM

My client, one of the largest municipal fleet companies is looking to employ an HGV Technician due to an ever-expanding work load.

HGV Technician requires:

• Required to work in busy Trailer/HGV workshop
• Must be conversant with current working methods, including MOT Preparation & Trailer and Vehicle diagnostics
• Work to include carrying out service and maintenance of predominantly trailers but also HGV and LGV
• Experience of on-site inspections and attending breakdowns preferable
• Driving licence Essential

HGV Technician general duties:

• Vehicle Inspections
• General Servicing
• Correction / repair of vehicle defects
• Engine / Gearbox repairs & overhauls
• MOT Preparation / Presentation
• Completion of all required paper work

The successful HGV Technician must be fully qualified to City & Guilds / NVQ Level3 / IRTEC or a times served HGV Technician.

Experience working on Municipal Vehicles would be a clear advantage.
