(Overtime rate is time and a half after 45 hours)

Day Shift
Monday – Friday 08:00 – 17:00
1 in 2 Saturday mornings 08:00 – 12:00

Back Shift
Monday - Friday 11:00 - 20:00
1 in 2 Saturday mornings 08:00 – 12:00

Or:

Night Shift
4 Nights 08:00 – 20:00
1 Saturday a month 08:00 – 12:00


My client is a family run business based in Edinburgh and the company started as a Dealer over 40 years ago. A network of service dealers offers further back up in the area with depots based in Dundee, Perth, Fife and the Borders.

The HGV technician role involves:

·Repairing company vehicles in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current legislation.
·Routine vehicle maintenance to VOSA standards.
·Preparation and presentation of vehicles and trailers for annual MOT inspection.
·Diagnosis of vehicles using computer based diagnostic equipment.
·Carry out re-chassis work and light fabrication work.
·Good housekeeping routines to meet H&S requirements.
·Ensure all paperwork is completed to a high standard.
·Utilise all Personal Protective Equipment as necessary.
·To communicate effectively with the Workshop Manager

Essential for this HGV Technician role:

·Level 2 or 3 or equivalent
·Class 1 or 2 licence an advantage
