Shifts for the HGV Technician:
Monday - Friday 07:00 - 17:00

My client is an industry leading commercial vehicle supplier that provides both self-drive rental and sales of LGV and HGV's. Short term and contract truck rental is their core business, with a significant portion of their fleet being Heavy Goods Vehicles. They are looking for an HGV Technician for their ever growing business and to join their depot.

The HGV technician role involves:
·Repairing company vehicles in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current legislation.
·Routine vehicle maintenance to VOSA standards.
··Preparation and presentation of vehicles and trailers for annual MOT inspection.
··Diagnosis of vehicles using computer based diagnostic equipment.
··Carry out re-chassis work and light fabrication work.
··Good housekeeping routines to meet H&S requirements.
··Ensure all paperwork is completed to a high standard.
··Utilise all Personal Protective Equipment as necessary.
··To communicate effectively with the Workshop Manager

Essential for this HGV Technician role:
·Level 3 or equivalent
·Class 2 licence
·Experience working on tippers, tipper grabs or beaver handles
