HGV Technician
Tewkesbury/Cheltenham

My client who are a family firm large Haulage company based between Cheltenham and Tewkesbury are looking for a full time experienced HGV Technician to join their workforce.
The role of the HGV Technician is to undertake all aspects of maintenance and repairs on a large fleet of vehicles, you will need to have a thorough knowledge of HGV Vehicles as well as the ability to keep accurate maintenance of service records.
The ideal HGV Technician will hold a City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in commercial vehicles and be experienced in all aspects of HGV maintenance. Time served on HGV Vehicles will also be considered.
The successful HGV Technician will have excellent knowledge of the required standards for inspections and MOT preparation.
The ability to work within a small team is vital but also to undertake work under own initiative.
Attention to detail is required with regard to paperwork to ensure accurate reporting.
An LGV C+E licence is desirable but not essential.
Working hours for the HGV Technician are 8am – 6pm Monday to Friday plus on call duties one week in three. There is overtime opportunities paid at higher rate, call outs also paid at higher rate, so there is great opportunity to make plenty of money.
Hourly rate is dependent upon experience and qualifications.
