HGV Technician

Day Shifts:
Monday - Friday
(Saturday on a rota basis + on call 1 in 5 weeks)


This family run business have over 60 years’ experience and are now looking for a qualified HGV Technician to join their growing business.

This is a challenging yet extremely rewarding position with a company that will offer an attractive basic salary and growth.

The HGV technician role involves:

·Repairing company vehicles in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current legislation.
·Routine vehicle maintenance to VOSA standards.
·Preparation and presentation of vehicles and trailers for annual MOT inspection.
·Diagnosis of vehicles using computer based diagnostic equipment.
·Carry out re-chassis work and light fabrication work.
·Good housekeeping routines to meet H&S requirements.
·Ensure all paperwork is completed to a high standard.
·Utilise all Personal Protective Equipment as necessary.
·To communicate effectively with the Workshop Manager

Essential for this HGV Technician role:

·Level 3 or equivalent
·Experience in diagnostics including engine faults
·Background in fabrication
·Class 1 or 2 licence
·At least 2 years out of apprenticeship
