HGV Technician

Location: Frome

We are looking for an HGV Technician / HGV Fitter / Mechanic / LCV Mechanic to work for our independent commercial vehicle repair workshop with lots of overtime paid at higher rates – both time and a half and double time rates available.

Hours of work HGV Technician / HGV Fitter / Mechanic / LCV Mechanic:
·Monday-Friday 6:00am-14:00pm & 12:00pm to 20:00pm rotating.
·Alternate Saturdays 6:00am -14:00pm at time and a half. Overtime at time and half up until midnight thereafter it is double time and on Sundays double time.
·£15.00 standby and £15.00 per call out.
HGV Technician / HGV Fitter / Mechanic / LCV Mechanic Duties:
·Vehicle inspection, service and repair
·Preventative maintenance
·Completion of MOT prep
·Correct completion of job sheets and associated documentation
·Adherence to H+S procedures
HGV Technician / HGV Fitter / Mechanic / LCV Mechanic Requirements:
·Excellent knowledge of vehicle mechanics
·Ability to problem solve around a vehicle and work under own initiative
·Electrical and diagnostic abilities
·Experience working as an HGV Technician on commercial vehicles
·City and Guilds / NVQ Level 3 as a minimum
