My client, a leading Commercial Vehicle Fleet Company are looking to recruit an experienced HGV Technician for their Exeter site to up keep and maintain a varied fleet of vehicles.

Job Role of the HGV Technician:
To carry out routine maintenance, diagnostics and repairs to a wide range of municipal, Light Commercial, HGV and other vehicles. The work will be varied and will include: 

* Vehicle Servicing / Heavy Goods and Municipal

* Repairs - to mechanical and ancillary equipment, hydraulics, ensuring that all repairs are carried out efficiently and cost effectively 

* MOT preparation /  Vehicle Inspections 

* Completion of all relevant paperwork ensuring that all work undertaken is compliant 
The successful candidate must be qualified to NVQ/BTEC or City & Guilds level 3 in Heavy Vehicle maintenance or have served a relevant apprenticeship. A full UK driving licence is required and a HGV Class 1 or 2 would be a distinct advantage as would Municipal Vehicle / hydraulics experience as well as being VOSA vehicle inspection certified. 

This HGV Technician is working on a split shift as follows

Monday to Friday 06:00 - 14:00

Monday to Friday 14:00 - 22:00

Shift pay: £5.80 per day

25 days holidays

O/T available over above the standard 8 hours per day and on Saturdays
