Description
We have a vacancy for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic to join an established commercial vehicle workshop in Sheffield, working a 4-day back shift.
HGV Technician Shift Pattern
4 days per week, 1:30pm to 12:00am (40 hours)
HGV Technician Salary = £41,600 per year Depending on Experience + Paid Overtime
The HGV Technician Role
- Service, maintain and repair HGVs, trailers and light commercial vehicles, both franchised and non-franchised
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using manufacturer diagnostic systems
- Carry out inspections, preventative maintenance and defect repairs
- Complete job cards, service sheets and online maintenance records
HGV Technician Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (essential)
- At least 3 years' experience as an HGV Technician or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
- LCV experience and an HGV licence are both a bonus
